TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION TRAINING PROGRAMME

The Occupational Training Centre [Approved by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and supported by BOSCH] has been established in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This centre conducts a “Technical Vocational Education Training Programme” which covers training programs for Electrician, Plumbing and Carpentry using Power Tools with Anchor under Youth Skill Development Scheme. The training programme is beneficial for rural youths, school dropouts, ITI and Polytechnic college students which provides an opportunity to become self employable. After the successful completion of training, BOSCH will provide the necessary assistance to get bank loans to procure the tools.

TVETP – 2007

  • The training programme for a batch of 32 trainees including economically weak and school dropouts from nearby villages, students from ITI and Polytechnic colleges was conducted from 22nd October to 1st November 2007.
  • The training programme was inaugurated by Mr.A.Pandian, Project Officer, Mahalir Thittam, Dindigul.
  • The chief guest of the valediction of the training programme was Prof. N.R.Shetty, President, Indian Society for Technical Education(ISTE).

TVETP – 2008

  • The training programme for a batch of 40 trainees including economically weak and school dropouts from nearby villages, students from ITI and Polytechnic colleges was conducted from July 7th to August 8th 2008.
  • The training programme was inaugurated by Dr M.G.Sethuraman, Professor / Dept. of Chemistry, Gandhigram Rural University, Dindigul.
  • The chief guest of the valediction of the training programme was Mr.N.Krishnamoorthy, President – Dealership business, TVS & Sons, Madurai.

TVETP – 2009

  • The training programme for a batch of 21 trainees including economically weak and school dropouts from nearby villages, students from ITI and Polytechnic colleges was conducted from July 1st to October 1st 2009.
  • TVETP – 2009 was partially funded by the State Government of Tamilnadu under Youth Skill Development Scheme - Mahalir Thittam.

TVETP – 2010

  • The training programme for a batch of 20 trainees including economically weak and school dropouts from nearby villages, students from ITI and Polytechnic colleges was conducted from August 2nd to August 6th 2010.
  • The training programme was inaugurated by Dr K. Thyagarajah, Principal, KSR College of Technology, Tiruchengode.

TVETP – 2012

  • The training programme for a batch of 20 trainees including economically weak and school dropouts from nearby villages, students from ITI and Polytechnic colleges was conducted from 12th March 2012 to 16th March 2012.
  • The training programme was inaugurated by Tmt. N. Prema, Project Officer / Joint Director, Mahalir Thittam, Dindigul.
  • The chief guest of the valediction of the training programme was Mr.M.Murugesan, Assistant Project Officer (Self Employment), Dindigul.

TVETP – 2013

  • The training programme for a batch of 20 trainees including economically weak and school dropouts from nearby villages, students from ITI and Polytechnic colleges was conducted from 22nd April 2013 to 26th April 2013.
  • The training programme was inaugurated by Dr K. Thyagarajah, Principal, K.S.R.College of Technology, and Tiruchengode.
  • The chief guest of the valediction of the training programme was Dr.S.Sakthivel, Principal, PSNA CET, Dindigul.

TVETP – 2017-18 (PMKVY-TI- 1-3706927211 - Wireman and Control Panel)

  • The training programme for a batch of 15 trainees was sanctioned through AICTE under PMKVY-TI-2017-18 scheme. The total fund sanctioned is Rs. 1,27,500
  • The training programme was inaugurated on 29.1.2018 by Dr.N.Mahendran Principal, PSNA college of engineering and Technology, Dindigul.
  • The chief guest of the valediction on 15.04.2018 of the training programme was on    15.04.2018 by Dr.V.Rajasekaran, HOD/EEE, PSNA CET, Dindigul.

FOUNDATION COURSE ON SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC DESIGN:

  • The foundation course for a batch of 115 engineering college students was conducted on  27th and 28th March 2018. Students from 10 engineering college students were trained practically in that session.
  • This course was inaugurated by Dr.V.Rajasekaran, HOD/EEE PSNACET.

TVETP – 2018-19 (PMKVY-TI- 1-4168000256-Solar Panel Technician)

  • The training programme for a batch of 25 trainees was sanctioned through AICTE under PMKVY-TI-2017-18 scheme. The total fund sanctioned is Rs. 5, 04,000.
  • A batch of 25 trainees data’s was uploaded on the AICTE web portal on 31st October 2018 and classes started on April 2018.
