PSNA – SIEMENS

We the department of Electrical & Electronics jointly with SIEMENS INDIA PVT LTD, MUMBAI, conducting 5 Days training programme on 'Basics of Automation (PLC)', 'Basics of AC Drives' and 'Basics of Process Instrumentation (PI)'. Those who are willing to take these courses shall register their names through the online entry form. Number of Students per batch is limited, so the batches will be allocated in First come first serve basis. The certification will be given by SIEMENS INDIA Ltd, Mumbai.

Department is actively involved in establishing and running the SIEMENS Authorized Industrial Automation Laboratory (7th of its kind in India) and Drives Laboratory (1st of its kind in India) in association with SIEMENS India Pvt Ltd, which creates a training Partnership between PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu and Siemens Ltd. The Main hardware / modules & related software are imported from Siemens Germany and installed at PSNA-SIEMENS Training Lab. Training lab is established with 13 Nos of PLC kits, 4 Nos of 3-Phase AC Drive Kits and more than 10 Nos of latest Process Instrumentation Kits. 188 students have completed their training in Basic of PLC, PI and AC Drives during the academic year 2013-2014. 155 students have completed training in Basic of PLC, PI and AC Drives during the academic year 2014-2015. 160 students have completed training in Basic of PLC, PI and AC Drives during the academic year 2015-2016. 132 students have completed training in Basic of PLC, PI and AC Drives during the academic year 2016-2017. 139 students have completed training in Basic of PLC and PI during the academic year 2017-2018. About 10 Innovative projects were also developed by the students after completing the courses under the COE.

Basics of AC Drives:

1. Introduction to Medium Voltage (MV) AC Drives.

Earlier the training was conducted for the students of PSNA with the experts from private industries who were working in the field of Automation and Instrumentation. Now we have erected the latest equipment's in the field of Automation, AC Drives and Instrumentation. Our Faculty got industrial training and then the classes are handled by our own trainers at Industrial standards to the student community at PSNA-SIEMENS Training Lab.
